Bike auf den Freiburger Trails testen!
The hardcore all-rounder. With a steep slope for wild trails.
If you can only have one bike and it has to handle everything, then the Bronson is the perfect choice. From groomed flow trails to washed-out berms, from alpine descents to your local trails – the Bronson adapts effortlessly to every situation and is just as comfortable in the air as it is on technical terrain. But be warned: it encourages a wild riding style.
chassis
The Bronson's appearance has changed radically. This wasn't about satisfying a designer's ego or standing out, but simply about moving the lower link and shock position downwards and forwards to reduce anti-squat for a radically improved ride feel. The Bronson comes with 160mm of travel at the front and 150mm at the rear.
What is anti-squatting?
Anti-squat stiffens the suspension when pedaling. Simultaneously, it pulls the chain backward with each compression. Too little anti-squat, and the suspension rocks while pedaling. Too much anti-squat, and the suspension is less able to absorb bumps under load. We've worked hard to improve the anti-squat effect on our bikes and reduce its value. The result is more traction and more riding fun.
Precision down to the millimeter
Shifting one of the VPP™ pivot points by just a few millimeters results in noticeable changes to ride quality. The lower VPP™ link is now positioned lower and further forward to optimize anti-squat. The result is a smooth, free-riding feel with ample traction.
Bronson's strengths
• Reduced pedal kickback on hard impacts
• Remains active while pedaling in rough, technical terrain
• Improved and smoother response, especially at the beginning of the suspension travel
• Predictable, consistent, progressive rear suspension support
On the trail
This is the best VPP™ rear suspension we have ever developed. It offers more traction and ensures a very smooth and confident ride.
Hardware
The linkages and axles ensure optimal function for many years. The entire construction is robust, reliable, and easy to maintain. Furthermore, the original owner benefits from free rear bearings for life.
MX wheels
A 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear wheel provide stability and easier handling at the front due to the weight distribution (greater distance between the bottom bracket and the front axle). MX bikes feel more neutral when descending, and the reduced bottom bracket drop at the rear wheel shifts the center of gravity further back. This inspires confidence when things get rough and also allows for quick and agile line changes.
