Downhill Trail Bikepark Todtnau

Downhill

  • Length: 2.7 km
  • Elevation gain: 450 meters

One of the best downhill tracks in Germany. For many years, it hosted the internationally renowned IXS Downhill Cups as well as European and national championships. The mix of natural terrain, technical sections, and fast flow segments guarantees long-lasting downhill fun. Pro racers like Brook McDonald, Nina Hoffmann, Greg Minnar, Johannes Fischbach, and Jasper Jauch have ridden and continue to ride here. Are you faster than them?

Downhill track highlights

  • Ready 2 start

After the start, you'll encounter our familiar Schwalbe drop with its stone wall. Then, with plenty of speed, you'll hit a small road gap. This will push you perfectly into a nice left-hand berm, giving you a great boost for the next high-speed segment.

Quick tip: When crossing the Wildride track, you can leave the brakes open. This way, you won't have to pedal even once during the pedaling section.

  • Lines everywhere

Go wild! This section has tons of awesome lines. And wonderfully soft forest floor, plus our typical Black Forest roots. Find your perfect line for the optimal exit speed. Afterwards, you'll reach our technical root carpet.

  • Rhythm Section

Fly or roll over it: This section is a bit flatter. But it's a lot of fun. With plenty of waves and tables, you'll find your own rhythm and either roll through them smoothly or power through the landing! This section is truly flowy for everyone!

  • Hate Tunnel

Despite the name: This trail is full of love for all fans of steep sections. With plenty of roots and corners. It'll put your suspension to the test and help you improve your skills.

  • Roller coaster

Go wild! Here you'll find open turns, berms, and rollers to push or jump over. Including fun highlines, insidelines, and a steep edge that you can also easily roll.

  • Anaconda

Anaconda: Probably the most famous root in any bike park in Germany. It snakes its way right across the downhill track. 3 meters long, thicker than the thigh of a Tour de France winner, and quite challenging. Easy: You can, of course, ride around it.

  • Goal

A drop and a nice tight right-hand corner push you downhill. A large crevice followed by a jump out of the woods pumps you into some great berms and bam: you're at the finish line at the 2-Cycle bike park shop. Grab a cold drink, adjust your jersey and start your next run.

Wildride Bikepark Todtnau

Wildride

  • Length: 2.6 km
  • Elevation gain: 450 meters

Feels like Canada: Our trail for freeriders and enduro fans. Flowing, with plenty of jumps and forgiving berms just waiting for your tires. Best of all: The Wildride is never too steep. You can roll through everything safely. The perfect trail in the bike park to get warmed up or learn new skills while having fun. The Wildride brings that British Columbia feeling to the Black Forest bike park.

Wildride track highlights

  • Jumpline

Time to fly: Take the forest path on the right and get some momentum for the fun jump line. All the jumps are intuitive to ride – no nasty surprises. Want to start off easy? No problem, almost all the jumps can also be done in a smaller version, and all of them can be rolled over or simply ridden around.

  • The bridge

Eight meters of pure fun. The bridge leads directly over our bike park downhill track. You can just roll across it without any trouble. Afterwards, a right-hand hip awaits you. Here you'll find two different jumps that will propel you further down the track.

  • Santa Cruz Booter

This double will put a real grin on your face. It pushes you up beautifully – ideal for taking your hands off the handlebars or pulling off an even bigger whip; some riders have even landed a backflip there. Of course, you can also take the small jump on the left or roll over it. After that, more doubles, tables, and berms await you.

  • Wildride (the Original)

Loved on YouTube and known from the Trailwhisperer event. A gentle climb followed by flowing berms, a bus stop, and small jumps. More fun berms and jumps follow.

PS: You can of course also bypass this section via the forest road.

  • In the meadow

Out of the woods and into the breathtaking view. A meadow awaits you with plenty of jumps and turns. Here you can show the spectators in the lift above what you've got. Nice touch: Two wooden features and a big step-down at the finish promise another dose of dopamine before you turn onto the final, shared section of all the shared trails (a gentle one) and safely reach the finish line.

  • final

This section may have little in common with the trail mecca of Finale Ligure in northern Italy, but it shares a lot with the final stretch of all the shared trails. Most Wildride riders take the left-hand variant here, which leads you to the finish line with some nice berms paired with two moderate jumps.

Downhill Flow Bikepark Todtnau

Downhill flow

  • Length: 2.6 km
  • Elevation gain: 450 meters

100% Flow for everyone: The Flowline is our easiest trail in the park. And it even brings joy to experienced riders. Small jumps, fantastic berms, and lovingly shaped lines: It's the perfect place to warm up. Or simply flow all day long. It's your choice. P.S.: Even beginners will have a blast on the Flowline.

Downhill Flow Trail Highlights

  • Berm G-out

First, you'll ride into a cornering section where your strength is the main limiting factor. You can really push through these corners until you're pressed flat against your bike and you're actually tempted to ease off the throttle a little. These corners are a blast and perfect for warming up.

  • Small or Big Jump

Here you can choose between gently shaped large or small table jumps. Perfect for improving your skills. If you just want to flow, you can simply surf through and enjoy the roller coaster ride.

  • Pump or Jump (shared with Downhill)

In the Pump or Jump section, you can choose whether you prefer to jump, surf, or push. This allows you to steadily improve and get better from round to round.

  • Berm to step-down, step-up

In this section you drive from one awesome curve to the next; at the end of the section you either have the choice to continue driving curves, or to get some air under your wheels via a gentle step-down step-up combination.

  • Trailwhisperer Flow Section

Here you can ride the creation of our 2023 Trail Whisperer event, a composition of smaller jumps (which can also be bypassed), fun obstacles and enjoyable combinations of curves.

  1. The trails are neither prepared nor secured. Riding them is always at your own risk.
  2. Parents are responsible for their children.
  3. Full-face helmets are mandatory throughout the park. No one will be allowed on the lift without one.
  4. Protective gear is mandatory throughout the park. (Full-face helmet, back protector and knee protectors are required – no lift transport without them. Gloves, goggles, elbow, chest and hip protectors are also recommended.)
  5. Drive slowly in areas with poor visibility.
  6. Keep a safe distance! The biker in front, as well as the weaker biker, always has the right of way and must not be forced to yield.
  7. Stopping is prohibited on the route (exception: training courses by bike schools).
  8. It is mandatory to inspect the routes before driving them.
  9. Less experienced riders should note that in many places obstacles can be bypassed via easy routes (“chickenways”).
  10. Specifically for North Shore Trails: Warning! The North Shore Trail is a training course exclusively for experienced riders. There is a risk of falling on the obstacles! Parts can come loose or break! Therefore, be sure to inspect each obstacle and check its stability before attempting it. If you are unsure, do not attempt it under any circumstances. Riding is at your own risk! No guarantee is given for the safe condition of the obstacles. The trail is closed when wet! Danger to life!
  11. The trails are classified into different difficulty levels: blue = easy, red = intermediate, black = difficult. Good riding skills in alpine terrain are required for all trails. Each user should only ride trails that match their own skill level and abilities (the rental shop in the bike park will gladly provide information about various training courses/training sessions).
  12. The parking spaces for Bikepark Todtnau are located exclusively in parking lot 2 (Brandenbergstraße). Overnight parking is prohibited in all parking lots (P1 + P2).
