Trek's suspension: More traction thanks to Active Brake Pivot (ABP)
It feels like magic! Trek's Active Brake Pivot System makes full-throttle rides on rough terrain even better. The key: The patented ABP system simply eliminates the typical stiffening of the rear suspension when braking. The ingenious part: It also works at high speeds.
-
The rear wheel stays on the ground
Traction! We want more of it. Luckily, Trek wanted the same. With the Active Brake Pivot system, Trek eliminates the stiffening of the shock or rear suspension. No more rear wheel "stuttering," no more bucking when braking on bumps or rough terrain: The Active Brake Pivot keeps your rear wheel firmly planted on the ground.
-
This is how Active Breaking Pivot works
Smart and balanced: Thanks to a clever relocation of the pivot point, the shock and rear suspension of the ABP can function perfectly during active braking. The result? More tire contact and higher braking performance.
Nice: The ABP system works with all common shock absorbers from FOX, RockShox, Öhlins, Marzocchi or Intend.
-
ABP on Trek Remedy, Trek Fuel EX and Trek Top Fuel
Trek uses the ABP system on its best-selling bikes. And this is precisely where the versatility of this system becomes apparent. Active Braking Pivot and the associated Full Floater system work just as well on rough terrain as they do in cross-country riding.

We have trusted Trek mountain bikes for years.
As a bike shop in Freiburg, we are particularly impressed by the quality of Trek bikes. The bikes are uncomplicated, durable, and absolutely reliable. That's why we are not only one of the leading " Test-a-Trek " providers in southern Germany, but have also been successfully using Trek bikes in our Todtnau bike park for many years.

Smart frame sizes and even more adjustment options
Whether it's Trek carbon frames or the meticulously hydroformed aluminum MTB frames, Trek offers an unusually wide range of frame sizes for many models. For example, the new Trek Fuel EX is also available in sizes XS and XXL.
Cool: Trek also uses size-specific chainstay lengths. The result: An even more natural riding feel and significantly more agile handling for smaller riders – and much better traction on climbs for taller bikers.

Versatility and innovation are key: The Trek model range
Strong performance is one thing. But what particularly impresses us is the wonderful versatility of Trek's mountain bikes.
What we as Trek dealers in Freiburg also really appreciate: Trek full-suspension mountain bikes offer a wide range of adjustment options. From the optional headset cups for the head angle (e.g., on the Trek Fuel EX) to mullet setups and adjustable progression via flip chip.

Made for Trails: Trek E-MTBs and mountain bikes
Cut the bullshit, as the Americans would say. Trek makes honest bikes for honest bikers. The brand's DNA – uncomplicated and consistent trail fun – is evident in both gravity models like the Trek Slash and the Trek Fuel EX, as well as e-bikes like the new Trek Rail+ or the exceptionally lightweight Trek Fuel EXe.
And that's exactly what we love about Trek: You sit on the bike, it immediately feels familiar, and it works downhill as well as uphill!
-
Trek Trail Mountain Bikes: From Enduro to Flow MTB
What a selection! With the Trek Slash, the Trek Remedy, the Trek Fuel EX and the Trek Top Fuel, the Americans have four talented bikes in the trail segment.
While the Trek Slash offers 170 mm of top-notch travel with its RockShox ZEB or FOX 36 suspension fork, the Trek Top Fuel focuses on even more agile trail riding. This lightning-fast XC full-suspension bike descends superbly for its 120 mm of travel – but it's also capable of top-level XC racing.
Fun fact: Trek uses a special high-pivot suspension system with an extra pulley on the new Slash.

Fancy some playful 27.5-inch action? The Trek Remedy is waiting!
The Trek Remedy's superpower? We'd say it's the nimble 27.5" wheels. The smaller wheel size combines sensational gravity performance with even greater agility.
Unsure which Trek trail bike is right for you? We're happy to advise you. And thanks to our " Test a Trek " service, you can take any – yes, really any – in-stock demo bike for an extensive test ride on your favorite trail.
-
Trek downhill mountain bikes: Time for an awesome session
The Trek Session takes you straight downhill. It combines 200 mm of travel, an extra-high rear pivot point, and extreme speed. Equipped with a RockShox BoXXer Ultimate fork, a super-strong aluminum frame, and SRAM Maven Ultimate 4-piston brakes, it's the perfect foundation for setting personal bests or racking up tons of airtime at the bike park.

Trek E-Mountain Bikes: Your Shuttle Service
Good e-MTBs should be versatile. And Trek has done a damn good job. With the new Trek Rail+, the lightweight e-MTB Fuel EXe, and the super-lightweight XC racer E-Caliber, there's the right bike for every preference.
In our opinion, the new Rail+ is a truly ingenious e-mountain bike. 160 mm of travel, MX wheels, and the new Bosch Performance Line CX drive with up to 800 Wh make this bike a fantastic e-enduro.
Do you prefer a lighter, more playful ride and don't need a turbo boost uphill? Then the Trek Fuel EXe is perfect for you. Super quiet, it has plenty of power and gives you the handling of a traditional mountain bike with added e-assistance.
