Through the targeted balance of braking power and system stiffness, combined with minimal friction in the lever mechanism, it achieves instinctive braking precision. A toggle-link linkage drives the brake lever, which powers a 9 mm master cylinder piston that delivers oil to the four 14/17 mm stainless steel pistons at a progressive rate. The further you pull the brake lever, the greater the force you exert! This ingenious little trick increases braking power without making you feel like you're wrestling with the handlebars. You feel instantly at the brake lever when the pads grip the discs, because high-pressure resistant Kevlar lines, a master cylinder, lever, and caliper machined from 7075 aluminum ensure a stiff system and thus a direct, defined pressure point. The polymer master pistons minimize friction, while the stainless steel slave pistons, with their consistent return path, maintain a constant pressure point. Combined with the ball-bearing brake levers, this results in a level of precision that allows you to tackle even the toughest and most demanding lines.
