The MAXIMA was developed for this tightrope walk at your limit, with one goal: to push the boundaries of braking power and controllability. The MAXIMA reveals a gentle side that might not be immediately apparent. The smooth operation of the moving parts ensures a consistently predictable pressure point and allows for precise modulation of braking force, enabling you to maintain control even on seemingly unrideable sections. This finesse is crucial for taming the Maxima's incredible power. Its enormous strength results from the hydraulic transmission of the 9 mm master cylinder piston to four 16/17 mm stainless steel pistons and the exceptionally high mechanical leverage provided by the lever. The kinematics of the brake master cylinder transmit braking force progressively, minimizing the required finger strength, even on the steepest slopes. The CNC-machined 7075 aluminum brake caliper features yoke bolts with optimized geometry, ensuring high caliper preload. Combined with the Goodridge braided stainless steel brake line or the high-pressure Kevlar line, this results in exceptional overall system rigidity, keeping the power under control.
